During the summer of 2020, Home Skate Shop moved down the street to their current shop located at 1367 Bardstown Rd. in Louisville, Ky. The goal for this design was to highlight our community by quite literally documenting it using the road map of Louisville, additionally hiding their new location within the design itself which can be found just below the “M” marked by one of their original logos.
The “Baby Claire” board is the first collaboration done with Home Skateshop in 2019, the name comes from the logo used in the design, owner Noah Hulsman calls it “the baby graphic.” The layout was inspired by The Lily Deck a piece made in the same year using a blank skateboard, acrylic paint, and a hand-carved linoleum stamp of a day lily.

Every year Home Skateshop releases a one-of-a-kind Derby Board, traditionally these boards are made by local skaters and creatives. For Derby 146 2020 was just entering the pandemic which made this event and in turn this board a bit more difficult to execute. Using old derby memorabilia to commemorate the tradition was the idea, within these tickets and stamps are hidden changes made custom for the Derby 146 board. Can you find them?
